Unlike conventional talk-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), somatic coaching includes body-based modalities like breathwork, gentle movement, and guided somatic inquiry. These are often combined with reflective dialogue and embodied exercises to support holistic transformation.
Somatic coaching is particularly effective for addressing persistent emotional patterns, nervous system dysregulation, and the lingering effects of overwhelm or traumatic experiences, sometimes resulting in unexplained chronic symptoms, including IBS, migraines, chronic fatigue, anxiety and depression.
Much like somatic coaching, EFT goes beyond traditional talk therapy by engaging the body directly. Instead of analyzing problems from a purely cognitive level, EFT acknowledges that emotional pain and trauma can become "stuck" in the body and the nervous system. Through tapping, the body's stress response is soothed, helping to discharge stored emotional intensity and promote a sense of calm and clarity.
EFT is particularly effective for addressing anxiety, phobias, limiting beliefs, emotional overwhelm, and trauma—especially when clients feel stuck despite years of personal development or therapy. It’s also been shown to support relief from physical symptoms that may have emotional roots, such as chronic pain, fatigue, or digestive issues.
